Movie Madness Project Pan – Finale! | Movie Madness Project Pan FINALE!

Hey gang!  And happy Friday!  Hope all is well for you!  Everything is going well on this end!  Today I am here to bring you my Movie Madness Project Pan FINALE!  This project we got to chose between 4-6 items and base them off any movie.  I picked four because 4 is my lucky number.  I swear, it feels like I just started this project and now I am bringing you the finale.  I almost feel like if you want the year to go by faster, do a 3-month project pan and watch the time just fly by!  So before I babble on too much longer, let’s get into the products, shall we?

Two products do not have updated photos.  The reason for that being I did not touch them ONCE during the last month.  Those products being my OPI Classic Nail Lacquer in Black Onyx (for the wonderful movie Hocus Pocus) and the Kat Von D Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Nahz Fur Atoo (for my beloved Dracula).  The nail polish hasn’t moved because I didn’t paint my nails at all the first couple of weeks in December, then I went a got my acrylics put back on (Lord did I miss them) and decided to be festive by putting on a sparkly red (China Glaze Ho! Ho! Ho! in case you are wondering).  The reason I haven’t been wearing the lipstick is the trouble it has caused me.  The couple of times I have worn it, I’ve had trouble with it bleeding out the lip line, fading extremely fast, and transferring everywhere.  I’m honestly coming to the conclusion that most red liquid lipstick shades do this and it is frustrating. | Movie Madness Project Pan FINALE!

Now moving onto products that I have made a dent on!  Here we’ve got the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream, which was in reference to the Silence of the Lambs and I’m sure you can guess why if you have seen that movie.  Throwing it into this project, I have made some steady but significant progress.  I feel I used up about 1/3 of the product and have about that remaining! | Movie Madness Project Pan FINALE!

The last product is because I’m a glutton for punishment 😉 which is in reference to my favorite movie of all time, Se7en.  It is the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer.  Here is another product that I made steady progress on and I truly felt added up to great results.  The funny thing is, I don’t use much of this product and I feel I used up quite a bit in 3 months.  Honestly, though, these are all rough estimations.  I was scraping through the bottle trying to see where I possibly was.  This is the oldest concealer in my collection.  It is definitely a good one but I need to work through it before it gets funky!

So there we have it guys, my last project pan for 2018!  Granted, I only did 3 project pans this year, all towards the end, however,  I have done project pans in the past and never stuck with them.  Even though this project was not a complete success, the fact that I stuck with it through the end is huge for me!  I will take small accomplishments such as these!  Anywho, thank you so much for taking time out of your day to check out my finale and blog, I hope you have a fabulous weekend and I will hopefully see you back here on Monday!  Until then!

Movie Madness Project Pan – Update #2

Hey gang, hope all is well on this fine Wednesday afternoon, well, it’s afternoon when I am posting this.  We are getting closer and closer to December, it is wild.  Right now my BF and his son are playing the NES and it is adorable.  Anywho, not why I’m here today.  Today is the second update to my Movie Madness Project Pan.  As I stated in the INTRO, this was a project created by Jessica on YouTube.  I loved the idea of basing a few products off of some of my favorite movies so I hopped on.  I missed the first update, well missed uploading the first update, so here I am with technically the second update.  So if you’d like to see the progress (or no progress) I have made on my items, well you know what to do!

1. Hocus PocusOPI Nail Polish in Black Onyx
I have made very little progress on this item and honestly, I am shocked.  I enjoy wearing nail polish, although I do hate waiting for it to dry because it takes anywhere from an hour to two hours to fully dry.  However, black nail polish is my favorite to wear but I just haven’t been in the mood to wear black nail polish or nail polish in general.  For example, right now my nails are completely bare.   I still have one more month, so we shall see if the line can go a bit further down.

2. Bram Stoker’s DraculaKat Von D Beauty Nahz Fur Atoo Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
This product has no visible progress.  I know it is difficult to actually see progress on a liquid lipstick unless you use it religiously.  I’ve probably worn this about 4 or 5 times this past month.  It really bums me out because I absolutely love this shade but it bleeds on me.  Even with a lip liner, this shade bleeds.  This formula also fades incredibly quickly.  Because of those two reasons, I don’t wear it.  I cannot have a red lip product bleed on me.  I’m going to try a couple of different techniques in order to try and wear this, but if it continues to bleed I will probably end up decluttering this product which really upsets me.

3. The Silence of the LambsL’Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream
I do have some progress to show on this product but again not much.  I’m not a huge fan of the packaging but the product is nice.  I keep forgetting to put it on, even with leaving it out.  I’m trying to get my BF to wear it some too to help move along the progress lol.  Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do right? | Movie Madness Project Pan - Update #2

4. Se7enTarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer
Making this my only concealer I’m wearing I have been making great progress.  Better progress than I initially anticipated.  If you checked out my GRWM post I showed that I only use a little bit but have still been making great progress.  I guess that’s what happens when you stay consistent with a product, huh?  It definitely won’t be finished by the end of this project, but it sure will be very close!

So that does it for this quick update.  It’s nice to throw in short posts every now and again and doing small projects definitely helps with that.  I only have one more month left on this project, it ends December 28th to be exact.  I will definitely not have anything finished but like I said, progress is progress.  Have you pulled out anything recently from your collection and made some progress on?  Let me know!  Hope you have a great evening and until next time!

Movie Madness Project Pan – Intro | Movie Madness Project Pan - Intro

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great weekend.  Saturday I went to the Pumpkin Patch with one of my besties and her adorable (although wild) little girl.  It was a perfect day for it, overcast, cool breeze, and luckily not too many people there.  They had a hayride to Minion Ville, yes as in actual minion’s lol.  Threw some apples at Bigfoot and wandered aimlessly in an Alice in Wonderland corn maze.  It was loads of fun.  For today, however, I am doing my introduction to the Movie Madness Project Pan.  It is originally a PANtastic Ladies collab, it is a panning group on Facebook, but I learned about it through Jessica on YouTube.  Here intro video I will link here for you.  The project runs from Sept. 28 through Dec. 28 and you can pick anywhere between 4 to 6 products based on any movies you want.  My favorite number being 4, that is what I went with.  So, if you are curious as to what movies I picked and what items I tagged them with, just keep on reading.

1. Hocus PocusOPI Black Onyx Nail Polish ($10.50 US)
If you haven’t learned by now, or if you are new here, Halloween is my favorite Holiday, along with Devil’s Night and Dia de Los Muertos.  I’m also an avid horror fan.  Hocus Pocus is a staple year-round honestly, but especially during the Halloween season.   I chose the Black Onyx nail polish in correlation to when the Sanderson sisters transform Thackery into a black cat.  “Twist the bones and bend the back.  Trim him of his baby fat.  Give him fur black as black, just like this.”  Yes, I quoted this without looking it up.  I can practically quote this movie word for word.  The goal for this is hopefully to use half.  If I stay diligent on painting my nails.  My nail polish chips easily because I am so rough with my hands, usually within 2 to 3 days my polish chips.  So, if I can be diligent on removing old polish and putting new polish on, this shouldn’t be a problem.  This product is also not cruelty-free so I will feel great about moving out another non-cruelty-free item. | Movie Madness Project Pan: Bram Stoker's Dracula - Kat Von D Beauty Liquid Lipstick in Nahz Fur Atoo

2. Bram Stoker’s DraculaKat Von D Beauty Nahz Fur Atoo Liquid Lipstick ($20 US)
Red lips are synonymous with the holiday season and how more perfect to pair this lipstick with this movie?  Honestly, there is not a better match.   When I think of an ideal red lipstick shade for me, this is it.  It is a deeper, blood red, which I feel comfortable wearing.  True reds I don’t think work well for me, but I absolutely adore this shade!  There is no way in hell I will be able to finish this product, but I’m aiming for about 1/4 of the product gone by the end of this. | Movie Madness Project Pan: The Silence of the Lambs - L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream

3. The Silence of the LambsL’Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream ($29 US)
Do I really need to give the reason why I chose this product for this movie?  Do I?  I mean… really?  I have the lotion, but I never rub it on my skin.  Hehe.  With winter coming, my hands can sometimes dry out a bit since they are in water so often.  Hopefully having this item in a project will help me be diligent on using this up and moving it out of my collection since it is another product that I have that is not cruelty-free. | Movie Madness Project Pan: Se7en - Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer

4. Se7enTarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer ($27 US)
I saved the BEST movie for last.  If you don’t know, Se7en is my all time favorite movie, so of course, since we get to pick any movies we want to correlate products within a project, I chose this movie!  The reason I chose the concealer for this is because I am a Glutton for punishment.  Get it?  Glutton?  Part of the 7 deadly sins?  Okay, I’ll stop.  I didn’t realize how far I’ve actually made it with this product already.  However, there is NO WAY IN HELL I will finish up this concealer.  I’m just aiming for progress, however far I get.

So that’s it.  That does it for my 4 products for the Movie Madness Project Pan.  Are you doing this project also?  If so, what products and movies did you pick out?  If you are not doing, think about joining in!  I’ve been having so much fun panning products, working through my collection and with this one being so themed and matching up items, it was even more fun!  For this project, I plan on updating once a month, just like my other products.  Well, this post was the shortest I’ve done in a while!  Thank you so much for stopping by and until next time!

PS.  13 By Halloween Update #2 is coming Wednesday I believe, so get ready for that!
