YouTube Made Me Buy It: EmilyNoel83 Edition | YouTube Made Me Buy It: Emily Edition

Hi everyone, how was your weekend?  Do anything fun or interesting?  Or were you like me and had to work?  Well, whatever you had to do or had the pleasure of doing, I hope it was enjoyable!  I thought today I would do another edition of YouTube Made Me Buy It, this time talking about products EmilyNoel83 influenced me to purchase.  I absolutely adore Emily and just to give you a heads up, this Wednesday I am bringing you my review on The Emily Edit, The Wants Palette.  So if you’ve been wondering about that, stay tuned!  But enough blabber, let’s get into it!

Note: This post DOES contain affiliate links. | YouTube Made Me Buy It: Emily Edition - Em Cosmetics True Gloss

EM Cosmetics True Gloss ($17 US)
She absolutely SOLD me on this formula.  This shade isn’t up her alley, but it is up mine!  The shade I have is called Truffle Haze, a sheer grey nude shade.  This gloss is comfortable on the lips and not sticky, which I fucking hate.  I’ve been getting into lipsticks and glosses lately, shocking I know, but I’ve been selective on what makes the cut.  This gloss definitely makes the cut. | YouTube Made Me Buy It: Emily Edition - Besame Cosmetics Classic Color Lipstick

Besame Cosmetics Classic Color Lipstick ($22 US)
The color I have is Red Velvet 1946 which is described as a mid-tone neutral red.  Oh, and it is absolutely STUNNING.  Besame Cosmetics is a brand dedicated to recreating vintage shades in modern formulas.  Their packaging also stays true to that.  I absolutely love the look of the 1940’s era and I wish I could pull off a red lip, but sadly I don’t feel comfortable in a bold red lip, but I will NEVER get rid of this.  It is way too beautiful.  It also has a very comfortable formula. | YouTube Made Me Buy It: Emily Edition - Morphe M506 Tapered Mini Blending Brush

Morphe M506 Tapered Mini Blending Brush ($6 US)
Now I am not particularly a fan of Morphe but when Emily recommended this brush, I picked one up the next time I was at Ulta and man, this brush is a game changer.  I never thought a brush like this would work so well and never thought I would actually need a brush like this.  I can perfectly get into my outer V without going overboard and completely blowing out a look too far.  It’s a perfect brush. | YouTube Made Me Buy It: Emily Edition - Milani Prep + Set + Glow Illuminating Transparent Powder

Milani Prep + Set + Glow Illuminating Transparent Powder ($9.99 US)
This powder has reached holy grail status for me, no lie.  It sets my makeup without it looking powdery on my skin and still gives me this natural, slightly radiant finish without looking greasy.  I cannot be without it.  I haven’t used it in so long and I’m dying over here.  I’m trying to currently use up the other powders in my collection before returning back to this one.  I’m counting down the days. | YouTube Made Me Buy It: Emily Edition - RevolutionXEmily The Emily Edit

RevolutionXEmily: The Emily Edit
The Wants Palette ($20 US) & The Needs Palette ($15 US)
Now, I’m pretty sure you KNEW this one was coming.  With how excited I was about her surprise launch and how much I love this girl, you knew this one was coming.  I know I can support her by just watching her videos, commenting, liking, yadda, yadda, yadda, but I wanted to also support her makeup collaboration.  She’s never done one before and even though these are permanent, I had to pick them up right away.

So that does it for today’s post.  I know I’ve asked this before, but if you watch beauty YouTube, what are some products that you purchased that were influenced by some of your favorite YouTubers?  Any regret purchases or did you find some holy grail products?  I would love to hear about them in the comments, maybe we can have a discussion!  Thank you so much for your time today, I really appreciate it.  Definitely stop by Wednesday if you’d like to read my review on The Wants Palette.  Fair warning, it’s going to be a long one!  Until then!

YouTube Made Me Buy It: ThaTaylaa Edition (Part 1?)

You may or may not know it, but I am a YouTube addict.  Every day I watch YouTube, mostly beauty related channels although there are a few Vegan YouTubers I watch as well.  I just love makeup and love watching other people talk about and showcase makeup.  One of my favorite beauty YouTubers is Taylor from ThaTaylaa.  I have been watching her for YEARS.  At least four or five years now.  She used to do Periscope and I would watch her live put on makeup while working on homework.  I love her personality, the time and effort she puts into her channel, and how she gives so much back.

With that being said, I have purchased quite a few items off of her recommendations.  How could I not?  To help make this a shorter post and not one that will take five hours to read, I will talk about only 5 items for today.  If you want me to do another post of items Taylor made me buy, let me know in the comments below.  Out of all the YouTubers I watch, her recommendations I trust the most, so with that being said, there are a lot of Taylor influenced items I’ve bought.  Alright, this is starting to get lengthy.  Let’s just get into the products, shall we?

1. CYO Long Lasting Foundation Lifeproof* in 101 ($7 US)
Now I don’t remember if this foundation came up in the last 15 Days of Foundation series, or the previous one, but this foundation took her breath away.  She has been hooked on this one since that episode of 15DoF and man has it been a bitch to get!  When it finally came back in stock at Walgreens, I purchased 2 bottles.  Just in case I loved it, I didn’t want to have to wait to order another bottle if I used it up.  Well, talk about good fucking call!  This foundation is beautiful!  Wearing alone or mixed it, this foundation reminds me a lot of the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Foundation, BUT I love the shade of this one.  It seems to have more of a grey undertone which I LOVE!

2. Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit* in Nudie Patootie ($4.99 US)
Because of Taylor, I was able to find one of my holy grail pale grey-nude liquid lipsticks.  When I watch so many other YouTubers, most have a deeper complexion than me, usually ranging from tan to deep.  When you are fair like I am, it is hard to gauge how a lip color will look when comparing to deeper skin tones.  Thanks to her, when I see a lip color on her that I love, I know it will look good on my fair skin.

3. Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder* in 05 Fair ($7.99 US)
Now, I purchased this before I decided to work towards a cruelty-free collection, let me just get that out of the way now.  However, with that being said, this is a beautiful powder.  I’m not a fan of loose powders in general, but if a loose powder works for Taylor’s skin, it has to be good and this powder is no exception.  It is lovely dusted over the face, it helps give a flawless, airbrushed finish.  If ever I am in the mood to bake my under eyes, it doesn’t look heavy or cakey under there.  It brightens underneath my eyes very well indeed.  Once I use this powder up, I am going to be sad to see it go.  If you have any recommendations for loose cruelty-free powders, please let me know in the comments!

4. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Lash 2-in-1 Boosting Eyeliner* in Ultra Black ($10.99 US)
Taylor always raves about this product.  Besides the CYO foundation, I swear this is the product she talks about the most and for good reason.  Now, I no longer have this product in my collection because I have come to realize I am not a fan of winged liner.  I don’t care for how it looks on my eyes, I just hate it.  However, when I did use to wear winged liner, this was one of the products I used.  It glided on so effortlessly and stayed put all day.  However, I remember this not working well in Texas.  It transferred a lot on my crease area, so if you live in hotter, more humid climates, I’d watch out for that.

5. BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Total Coverage Concealer* in 100 Fair ($6 US)
Now, this product she hasn’t talked about in a long while, however, she used to talk about it quite often.  I want to say about 2 years ago is when she really talked about it.  This product was even in one of her best products of the year.  I haven’t used this concealer in a while, but it is going to be in rotation soon as I finish some other concealers.  It is very full coverage but surprisingly thin.  Easy to blend out and I have minimal creasing with this product.  I’m not a fan of the method of application and I am not too fond of the undertone, it is immensely yellow.  But the formula is wonderful!

Alright, so that does it for round one, episode one, part one, whatever you want to call it of YouTube Made Me Buy It: ThaTaylaa edition.  Like I said, Taylor has influenced me to purchase quite a few products in the past and if you are interested in another post about products she has influenced me to buy, let me know in the comments section!  I plan to do a couple more YouTuber’s that I watch fairly frequently (as in, every time they upload) in upcoming posts, so be on the lookout for that!  If you are an avid Beauty YouTube watcher like myself, has there been any products that you were influenced to buy and what did you think of them?  Let me know!  Thank you so much for stopping by and until next time!

Top 5 Favorite Beauty YouTuber’s

YouTube is a huge part of my life, fortunately, unfortunately, I don’t know.  I don’t have cable so if I want to watch something, it is either in the form of movies, Prime Video, Netflix or YouTube.  YouTube tends to win as soon as I get home from work and I am relaxing.  It’s easy for me to pull up a video and eat dinner while lounging on the couch with my girls.  That being said, there are a few YouTuber’s that once I see their video on my feed, I instantly click.  I thought I would stick to 5 YouTuber’s, but trust me there are more.  These are the YouTuber’s, regardless of what the upload is, I will watch.  So, if you are interested, just keep on reading.  PSA: None of these Thumbnails are mine, I did a screenshot of each of their videos, 100% credit goes to each individual creator.  Wanted to make sure that was perfectly clear,

1. Taylor of ThaTaylaa

I have lost track of how many years I have watched Taylor.  I want to say at least 4 or 5 years now.  Her personality, her dedication to her channel, her constant creativity, it blows me away.  She is so consistent with her channel and I truly feel the love and effort she puts into every video.  Plus, she does so much for the community.  Teaming up with Project Beauty Share and the Seattle Humane Society, this girl is fucking bomb.  From YouTuber’s that I watch, when she became involved with Project Beauty Share, I truly felt a bunch of them started becoming more involved with shelters.  That could just be me, but that is what I picked up on.

2. Emily from EmilyNoel83
Oh, Emily.  I just adore her, Bub, and her two precious little girls.  Her daughters are INSANELY adorable.  Swear to you, it is a crime, and if it isn’t, it damn well should be.  Her vlogs are such a joy to watch.  They instantly brighten my mood and day.  Bub is such a good sport when unboxing products.  I’m not a fan of PR unboxings, but when he does it, I’m down!  Emily is so incredibly thorough on her channel, her reviews are just spectacular.  How she manages to upload every week, 3 to 4 times a week, with two little ones, and make EVERY SINGLE VIDEO incredible, just leaves me stunned.

3. Jessica from JamBeauty89
Jessica is a doll.  I love her!  She is so sweet, funny, charismatic and so genuine.  I love her video ideas and how just normal her videos are.  I don’t mean that in a negative way, but in a way that appeals to consumers who are not beauty gurus or makeup know-it-alls.  Honestly, Taylor and Emily are the same way.  I see a pattern here.  She gives information about products more directed to the everyday consumer, in my opinion.  I don’t need false lashes or crazy expensive products.  I want to watch someone that I can relate to.  You know I love her when I watch her pregnancy videos and baby videos and I don’t want children, like ever.  That is dedication.  She’s just lovely.

4. JKissa
JKissa is so incredibly talented with makeup and huge upside, she is a cruelty-free YouTuber and a vegetarian like me!  I enjoy watching her colorful eye looks and reviews.  Now, I am not a fan of colorful looks on myself, but I love watching her.  Especially her Random Color Challenge videos (her last one with her fiance Chris was FUCKING ADORABLE).  She also has a pitbull mix rescue name Tsuki who, AHHHH, I just want to squeeze!!!  JKissa is just so sweet, so kind, so talented, and so informative with her tutorials.  She’s just wonderful.

5. Amber F
Amber I found about a year ago I would say and I have absolutely fallen in love with her channel and her.  She does a lot of project panning videos, get ready with me videos, and monthly makeup baskets.  What’s different about Amber is her style of videos.  I get sucked into her panning projects, watching her progress, and what I love is utilizing her products into videos.  What I mean is right now she is trying to pan the Kat Von D Beauty Mi Vida Loca palette.  She showcases tons of different eye looks using that one palette and helps you figure out how to shop your stash in order to recreate the look.  She focuses on makeup for the everyday person, who needs work appropriate makeup.  She gives reviews on products, but she’s more than that.  Highly recommend!

Alright guys, so that does it for my top 5 Favorite Beauty YouTuber’s.  Like I said, I could go on for a bit of different beauty YouTuber’s that I watch, but these 5 I DO NOT miss an upload from, and that is definitely a rare thing.  Let me know some of your favorite beauty YouTuber’s you enjoy watching.  I love finding new people, especially smaller channels!  Thanks so much for stopping by and until next time!
